Go to the shopI am reviewing a 75-100 Watt equivalent Omni-directional Soft White Lightbulb sold by ALDDN. I received this light bulb as a deeply discounted sample in exchange for my honest opinion. I give it five stars for because it gives off a nice bright white light in the overhead light in my kitchen fixture. My ratings are not influenced by price. All comments are my own, valid and I stand by them.My husband and I are slowly replacing standard bulbs in our home with LED bulbs. This was perfect to have on hand when the kitchen light went out. Per the...
8 commentsLet’s look at 3 types of LED bulbs and the advantages of COB LED On the left; SMD 5.6 watt – HBLED 5 watt – MCOB 9 watt SMD SMD remains one of the breakthrough LED technologies responsible for bringing LEDs from the low output DIP leds, to 100+ lum per watt power houses used in today’s LED Lighting. SMDs use tiny ceramic cups to hold the wafern and phosphor in place, these cups can be mixed and matched into all types of lighting products. Drawbacks of SMD; Each LED has a slightly different “white” and they must be “Binned” together....
4 commentsHow to recognize a good LED light and choose the right one is a problem. Here it goes: 1.Take the “material and structure of Heat sink” as reference. The biggest threat of LED light is the heat. So a good heat sink with good material and good structure design will help much to protect the light. For example, Aluminous are widely used as the material due to it can conduct the heat very well. While some try to use the Aluminous & PC together as the material due to PC can spread the heat faster than Aluminous. 2.Take the “character of LEDs” as reference. Dies/chips...
0 commentsWhether or not LED can be used for a particular application will depend on the following: Availability of an adhesive suitable for the application that cures well at 365nm and doesn’t require additional wavelengths. Small spot size (typically no more than 3-5 mm). Low cure depth requirement. LED best suited where: 365nm is the dominant required wavelength. Cure area is relatively small. Cure depth is low or not critical. Potential surface tackiness is acceptable. Comparison Chart LED Lamp Wavelength 365nm/385nm/400nm or more 250-600nm UVA Wavelength Availability Single Wavelength Multiple Peak Wavelengths Optical Power (@365nm) Significant development is underway to increase...
